The effects of producing and marketing entire male pigs

European pig farmers are among the world leaders in supplying affordable and sustainable food. On top of this, in the EU as well as on a global level, animal welfare plays an increasingly important role. Castration of piglets is an important animal welfare issue: raising entire male pigs means an important step forward in improving the welfare of pigs. Boars On The Way, a collaboration of stakeholders from the Dutch pig sector aiming to end castration of male pigs within the European Union, developed an infographic about the effects of producing and marketing entire male pigs.
