When do we process your personal data?
Data in connection with handling your application
When you apply for a job with us, we will process the personal data you send us. We require the following information when you wish to apply for a job:
- general information about you (name, gender, e-mail address, (mobile) phone number and address)
- (data included in your) motivation letter
- (data listed on your) CV
Our application form also includes other (optional) fields, for example information about any references, education, certifications, etc. If you choose to provide this information, we will process the personal data you have provided or explained in those fields.
With your consent, we also process data about your website usage (such as IP address, browser information, device information, pages visited). Please see our cookie policy for more information about this.
If you do not provide us with certain information (despite a legitimate request to do so), we may not get a complete impression of you (as a potential employee). This may ultimately result in our decision not to offer you an employment contract. We will inform you if this is the case.
To whom do we provide your personal data?
We work with Workday as software provider for our recruitment and application process. This means that Workday has access to your personal data.
How do we handle the transfer of your personal data to parties outside the EEA?
Your personal data is primarily processed by us and our processors on secured servers within the European Economic Area (“EEA”). However, international transfer outside the EEA may still occur, for example when you apply for a job at a company of Topigs Norsvin outside the EEA. Furthermore, Workday may transfer your personal data outside the EEA. Workday has Binding Corporate Rules in place to ensure that your personal data is adequately protected. How long do we retain your personal data?
We will retain your personal data in accordance with the applicable statutory retention periods as set out in Appendix 2. Where permitted or required by applicable law, we may retain your personal data for a longer period. In certain cases, and where required, we will ask for your consent to retain your personal data for a longer period for future recruitment opportunities.
We may process personal data for a longer period if this is necessary, for example, due to a dispute, or if the data has been included in a backup as part of our security measures.
If we enter into an (employment) agreement and you start working for us, we may use certain data about you in your personnel file. Further information on this can be found in the internal privacy statement that will be provided when you start working for us.
What (privacy) rights do you have?
Under the GDPR, you have several rights regarding your personal data. Below you can read more about the rights you may have:
